A critique of the fragility index, where I argue that it is merely a transformation of the p-value and thus does not provide additional insight into the validity of randomized controlled trials. Through simulations, I demonstrate that the fragility index reflects study characteristics like effect size and power, rather than the robustness of the study’s findings.
